Physical distancing is having a profound impact on the ability of musicians to perform for their fans and audiences.  Many have taken to the Internet to stream concerts from their own homes, using platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Zoom.

Grand Music Live has ventured safely into this physically-challenged world, and we think you'll enjoy catching your favourite regional bands, artists and ensembles in our @HOME series.

On June 9th, 2020, Juneyt performed live on Grand Music Live@Home's webcast backed by his long-time friend and bassist Tom Nagy and Donnie McDougall on percussion.

He was joined by his audience on Zoom... and while Covid-19 might keep us from sitting side by side safely, we can still experience the thrill of being a part of a live audience from our homes.

On July 7th, 2020, 7:30 pm - Waterloo Region's beloved troubadour Michael Kelly Cavan returned to  Grand Music Live for our @HOME series, webcasting from the Chestnut Hall Bistro. Born in Ireland, and raised in North Bay, where he still has a deep connections with friends and family, Cavan will perform new compositions that are drawn from his early life growing up in North Bay, as well as his popular songs including Child of Immigrants, recently included on Tim Moher's superb Clefs of Moher release.

As one of Waterloo Region's best-known and most popular jazz bands since the late 80′s, Top Pocket's style has ranged from be-bop, fusion, Latin, and traditional jazz. These guys play with tremendous versatility and depth!

On August  7th, 2020, 7:30 pm - Grand Music Live welcomed the acclaimed Western Swing Authority to the Chestnut Hall Bistro.

The Western Swing Authority is Canada's most recognized and awarded authentic Western Swing group. Made up of a collection of some of the country's finest touring and studio musicians, they came together to play the timeless style of music they love. Seamlessly combining stellar musicianship and vocals with traditional country and jazz standards and their own “new vintage” originals, they have created a sound that is truly their own.
